MSSC Gets a Grant Towards Swimming Costs From Greater London Fund for the Blind (GLFB)
Following a successful grant application MSSC has been lucky enough to receive funds from GLFB to help meet a considerable portion of the 2019 exclusive pool hire fees. This is great news and will ensureMSSC’s weekly swim can continue for the rest of the year. In addition GLFB funding was also secured to provide swimming instruction for a 10 week trial period, with the aim of building swimmers confidence in the water and thus increase the numbers of those wanting to swim. A huge thanks from MSSC to GLFB for this grant which came at a key time in MSSC’s quest to increase participation at our weekly swims.

MSSC’s Secures Tennis Funding
Thanks to the hard work of one of our newer members, MSSC has been lucky enough to get awarded a grant from the Dan Maskell Trust for the purchase of some Sound Tennis equipment plus funds for coaching sessions. The equipment is being ordered and will hopefully be available for use in the hall soon. Regarding arranging the coaching sessions, as soon as we have more detail how these will operate we will communicate accordingly.

MSSC’s New Website
Welcome to MSSC’s newly launched Website.
We hope that this site will be accessible, easy to use and informative.
In addition, we would also like to express how grateful we are to Kualo for providing us with their Free Charity Hosting, a fantastic service that allows charities to have their websites hosted for free; an initiative we highly recommend and want to spread the word about. We Would also like to thank Blazie Engineering, an IT Accessibility consultancy company for completing the initial build for us. They were engaged to ensure the design was conducted in a screen reader friendly way.
